The James H. Chapman, Jr. '27 and James H. Chapman III '69 Scholarship provides grant-in-aid for cadet-athletes who participate in the basketball and/or football programs.

James H. Chapman, Jr. '27 matriculated from Roanoke, Virginia, and earned a bachelor of arts degree. He served in the USAAF as a major from 1942-46, and was president of Peoples National Bank in Pulaski, Virginia. He died in 1960.

Mr. James H. Chapman III '69 matriculated from Pulaski, Virginia, and earned a bachelor of science degree in biology, and a masters degree from the University of Richmond. He served in the U.S. Army/Field Artillery from 1970-72, and is a former vice president/ portfolio manager for First Union Corporation in Roanoke.

Mr. Chapman '69 is the current president of the Keydet Club Board of Governors. His wife, Ruth M. Chapman, is also a member of the Board of Governors.
