MEMORIAL TRACK SCHOLARSHIP

Bernard Richard Hill '68

The  Bernard Richard Hill '68 Memorial Track Scholarship was established by the Class of 1968 in memory of their Brother Rat who died suddenly on May 18, 1990, at the age of 43. It provides scholarship assistance to an outstanding track athlete.

Rick Hill matriculated from Richmond, Virginia, and graduated with a degree in biology. As a cadet, he was an outstanding track athlete, serving as co-captain, and was presented the Hardin Massie '16 Award as the track and field athlete best exemplifying the spirit of VMI.

He earned a degree in dentistry from the Medical College of Virginia, and did graduate work in endodontics at Tufts University. In 1978, he established an endodontic practice in Richmond.

He served four years in the Air Force in England.

Hill was active in professional associations, civic affairs and his church.


Cadets Tyler W. Tucker '09 and Ermin Mujezinovic '11 (Men's Track) are recognized in the name of the Bernard Richard Hill '68 Memorial Track Scholarship
