Ken Johnson '62
 

The Kenneth F. Johnson '62 Baseball Scholarship, held by the VMI Development Board, was established in 1995.

Mr. Johnson, who matriculated from Waverly, Virginia, played baseball during his cadetship at VMI under two legendary head coaches, L.F. "Weenie" Miller and Charlie McGinnis. He graduated with a BS degree in civil engineering.

He served from 1963-65 as a 1st Lieutenant in the USA, FA.

The scholarship can be granted to a skilled athlete who has demonstrated academic ability and character traits necessary to succeed at VMI.



Cadets Ryan S. Barefoot '11 and Alex K. Haitsuka '11 are recognized in the name of
the Kenneth F. Johnson '62 Baseball Scholarship
for the 2007-08 school year.
