Clark Minnigerode '92

The William Clark Minnigerode '92 Memorial Lacrosse Scholarship was established in 2003 by the Minnigerode Family, Brother Rats of the Class of 1992 and other alumni and friends to provide grant-in-aid to a VMI lacrosse player.

Minnigerode matriculated at VMI from Newport News, Virginia. He graduated in 1992 with a bachelor of arts degree in economics. Prior to attending VMI, Minnigerode graduated from Walsingham Academy.  An illness ended his life on December 1, 2002, at the young age of  32.

While at VMI, Minnigerode displayed exceptional skill as a Keydet lacrosse player three years of his cadetship, after not having played the sport in high school. He served as team manager during his sophomore year, and lettered the very next year! In his senior season of 1992, he was a regular starter as a short-stick defensive midfielder. That season, he scored eight goals, dished out five assists and picked up 90 groundballs, leading the Keydets to a national ranking.

Minnigerode was vice president of W.M. Jordan’s Richmond Division and served on the company’s board of directors. He was a member of the Young Executive Committee of the Associated General Contractors of Virginia.
