The Stanley R. Navas '41 Athletic Scholarship was established by Mr. Navas  in 1995 to provide scholarship assistance to a football athlete at VMI.

Navas matriculated at VMI from Brooklyn, New York, and was a Distinguished Graduate with a BS degree in civil engineering.

He served in the Army of the U.S. from 1941-45, and received the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart (2) medals.

He made his home in Richmond, Virginia, and was president/chairman of Concrete Pipe & Products Co., Inc., before his death on July 18, 1999.

He was a recipient of the VMI Foundation's Distinguished Service Award.
