The Annual Giving Keydet Club Scholarship Fund
The Keydet Club Scholarship
Fund is an annual fund that is used for the sole purpose of
funding grants-in-aid to cadet athletes at VMI. Currently,
athletes who participate in Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country,
Football, Lacrosse, Soccer, Track and Field, and Wrestling are
eligible for athletic grants-in-aid.
The NCAA places limits on the number of scholarships that each program can offer; however, VMI has not yet reached this maximum number for all of its sports. Because of this, the Keydet Club works hard to raise more dollars each year to benefit VMI Athletics and make the programs as competitive as possible with respect to recruiting and retaining athletes.
Gifts to the
Scholarship Fund are totaled during each fiscal year (July 1 –
June 30) and are used to determine a membership level for the
donor. Membership levels are divided into two parts: general
membership ($1 - $999), and leadership membership ($1,000 and above). For
