MEMBERSHIP IN THE KEYDET CLUB

VMI relies primarily on gifts from alumni, staff, parents and friends for funding its NCAA Division I Athletic Program. This is because, although the Institute is a public institution of higher learning, the Commonwealth of Virginia does not allow public monies to be used for athletic purposes.

The Keydet Club is the private foundation for the Institute that accepts gifts for athletics. These gifts can be credited for SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS-IN-AID and/or for general or sport-specific ATHLETIC OPERATIONS.

Keydet Club Donors of $1 or more are given membership in the Keydet Club. Along with membership come certain benefits, associated with the giving level.
